OVERVIEW

Kings in the Kitchen is many things.  What started out to be an educational and entertainment program for radio enthusiasts, has evolved into much, much more.

Kings in the Kitchen is the brainchild of Anthony “The Big Cheese” Mongiello, the original inventor of Stuffed Crust Pizza and Founder and CEO of Formaggio Italian Cheese Specialties. Formaggio is a well-known National and International Specialty Food Brand. The Company has won several prestigious industry awards, for its various products and best tasting cheeses in the category.

Mr. Mongiello is an innovator, and Kings in the Kitchen is the latest of what is certain to be one of the most unique marketing innovations to hit the Food Industry in decades.

THE CONCEPT

It is a fairly common assumption that most “real men” don’t cook, they barbeque!  For those “few” men who do occasionally cook, it’s assumed, they are, for the most part, limited to a few simple recipes—burgers, scrambled eggs and the like. And last but certainly not least, it is assumed that it takes formal culinary training for a man to be able to create a sumptuous meal. To those who make those assumptions, we have three simple words; Wrong, Wrong and Wrong!

The Kings in the Kitchen model demonstrates just how easy it is for the average man to create gourmet meals quickly and with minimal effort. We’re not talking about plain dishes designed only to satisfy ones hunger.  We’re talking 5-Star meals. Entrees that are guaranteed to delight the taste buds of even the most demanding chefs.

At its core, KITK is a demonstration presented by ordinary men, of various backgrounds and no “formal” cooking skills preparing a variety of gourmet classic dishes.

In reality, KITK is MUCH more than just a “cooking demonstration”. It quickly becomes obvious to those companies that “partner with us” that KITK is an extremely powerful sales and marketing vehicle. KITK is a novel way to promote your brand by “flying under the radar” while engaging your audience in an entertaining manner. The Kings in The Kitchen Marketing Program is unique in several ways:

  • Immediate Consumer Brand Awareness
  • Immediate Return on Investment
  • Creates Brand Loyalty
  • Very low cost of entry (more bang for your advertising buck)
  • Multiple ways to reach your Target Audience

Real Men. Real Food. Real Easy !

How the Program Works

The KITK program is designed to engage live audiences in a “close-up and personal” way, providing them with hands on cooking demonstrations in a friendly atmosphere.

KITK will conduct live “demos” in Supermarkets at selected Events and on “paid” TV Broadcasts or what we refer to as our “Mangiamercials TM”.

Kings in the Kitchen will set up weekly cooking demonstrations in various Supermarket Chains, including Shoprite, King Cullen, Stop & Shop, and others. The “Kings” will demonstrate how to prepare and cook Gourmet meals, using products that just happen to be available at that particular Supermarket.

This provides a natural “draw” for the Supermarket and the customer audience will all have a chance to sample the finished recipe. They will also be handed a KITK “Recipe Card”, which will list the ingredients by Brand name and will also feature the logos of the companies whose products are being used in the recipe that is being prepared that day.

We also have the ability, working with the stores and the “brands” to offer the consumers price off coupons to further encourage sales-- on the spot!

The Supermarkets will be encouraged to post a listing of “Upcoming Kings in the Kitchen” cooking demonstrations.  Consumers will become used to seeing these “demonstrations” and will begin to look forward to them. What better way to encourage brand Loyalty?

Unlike traditional “brand awareness” advertising, which in most cases takes months to quantify, the Kings in The Kitchen Marketing Program allows advertisers to see an immediate return on their marketing investment.

The Kings in The Kitchen Road Shows.

KITK will set up a series of “Road Shows” starting first with several Costco stores in selected areas. The shows will consist of cooking demonstrations, creating meals using various products that are sold at Costco. Costco will have the opportunity, working with their suppliers to offer customers price off coupons to encourage immediate sales.

Costco will be able to see an immediate result/increase in sales for the items that were used in the cooking demonstrations. The KITK will work closely with CDS (Club Demo Services) at Costco to assist in sampling the recipes to store customers.

The Shows will be professionally video-tapped and edited and used for additional promotional and marketing activity. Costco will promote upcoming KITK Road Shows in their circulars.
